In 2016, Brighton Palace Pier held a competition to design a new sign for the pier. Colin's design was modern, attractive, uncomplicated to construct and efficient to illuminate. His entry was eventually beaten by a local artist whose design was more traditional. However these images demonstrate how high quality images of a model can show clearly how something will look before costly construction is started.
